Astrodharma Transit Report: March 2022

The Sizzling Fish

March presents us with a profound inquiry: What is the soulful response to side-taking, polarization and war?

The answer dawns as we contemplate the Virgo/Pisces polarity (the signs of this month’s New and Full Moons).

Overwhelmed and disoriented, low octave Pisces swings into the anal ordering of the details of life. Chaos and uncertainty are met with rigid regimes, black and white moralizing and cold, severing judgment. Lacking meditative ground, the chaos-stricken mind fixates on “the one, sure right thing to do.”

There is, of course, a more reflective, faith-steeped way to meet the breakdown of world order.

The March 2nd New Moon in Pisces

Indeed, with the Sun in Pisces, huddled close to the wise counsel of Jupiter and a “ready to talk” (sextile) with the bombastic Venus/Mars/Pluto conjunction, the genius of March may be its unrelenting tension; the existential pressure required to bring egos to god and politicians to the negotiating table.

Will tensions subside or escalate? With dreamy nonchalance, this New Moon in Pisces yawns, then waxes transcendent, Whatever returns the highest number of orphaned egos to their cozy center.

In other words, have mercy on the time-tethered story of self who meets drama with drama, refusing to see through the sheen of what the world has always been: a storm of forgiveness and offense. The real cataclysm: missing this veil-thinning New Moon opportunity. Mystics are born from transits like these, in dark churches where souls take refuge. You could be one them.

The March 18th Full Moon in Virgo

Look for a shocking, flip-the-game-board release of tensions mid-month on the 18th (Full Moon Virgo), the 19th (Venus square Uranus) and the 22nd (Mars square Uranus).

Expect a reprieve of sorts after the 22nd when Venus conjuncts and overtakes Mars, allowing the aggressor to back down without losing face. Square Jupiter and opposed the Moon in Leo, this is a time of momentous global power moves and negotiations beneath the surface.

As we get closer to April, the Covid tensions return with two nail-biter transits: 1) The Mars/Saturn conjunction on April 4th (mirroring the exact Mars/Saturn conjunction at the beginning of the lockdowns on April 1st 2020) and the Jupiter/Neptune conjunction on April 9th (My intuitive guidance says “no” to your worldly law) as more and more souls take a stand on the endless jabs.

Remember. It looks foreboding and unprecedented, but the stakes are the same: Will we obsess on threats to our egoic security or will we sip the tea of self-inquiry and sit proud in our infinity? The perfect time to contemplate, The Sizzling Fish.

The Sizzling Fish

One is born from zero. Zero is the ground. Obvious, right?

What does this say about who we are? Simple:

Like sprout from soil, individuation is born from Boundless Being. The “story of me” is, even now, bubbling up from Storyless Presence.

As a concept, Zero as the “fountain of one” is dead math. As embodied, meditative experience, it sparks profound serenity– rooting our quivering flesh in infinite Being. The transcendent: available to everyone in states of quiet dignity and meditative relating.

The source of suffering? Simple:

Inversion: personhood claiming to be the ground, trying to have a happy day. Treating the Unborn, Undying, Imperishable as a hood ornament, an optional add-on.

Mind, of course, cannot actually succeed in turning this immutable, “Zero giving birth to one” law of nature on its head. It can, however, numb to its Source, in favor of stressful posturing: I suffer, therefore I am.

What does inversion feel like?

A fish flailing on a hot tin roof.

The mantra of March: You must feel the sizzling fish, to purify your prayer for water.
