Templates of Grace
Winston Churchill once said, “Never let a crisis go to waste.” I wholeheartedly agree– providing the crisis is defined as: “numbness to the Shepherding Presence.”
How do we harness the opportunity hidden in the folds of our Presence-blindness? By daring to pause long enough to see what existential orphanedness actually feels like. By using the flashing red light urgency downloaded into our nervous system to propel us into meditation, self-inquiry and the “benevolent spell-casting” commonly referred to as, “prayer.”
In short, by confessing that we are hurtling forward in an ambulance called “time” while orphaned ego tosses and turns in the back, desperately crying out for “Templates of Grace.”
Templates of Grace
Think of the moment you met someone that, to this day, you absolutely and utterly love. God didn’t send them into your life so you could have them for just a few minutes; they were sent to provide you with a “template of grace,” and the continued use of this template is how we love God, through them, in return.
How? Repeat the following:
The One who breathed __(beloved’s name)__ into my life is breathing this moment into my life, right now.
Suddenly, the colors in the room become more vivid.
Notice that this Template doesn’t micro-manage. It creates an open field inside of which “The Bestower of Grace” can fill-in the details. Repeat it whilst sitting in a cafe or another public place and watch how it literally rearranges who walks through the door and how souls respond to you.

August Transits
August begins with a portal: the magnificent “Lion’s Gate” Sun/Moon conjunction in Leo on Aug 8th. Politically, this is a time when the collective heart of mankind begins bursting free of its shackles. At the same time, in our personal lives, celebrations of those near and dear to us have the power to slide quickly and naturally into communion and prayer.
This is the “achievable utopia” too often trampled in the fight for social change. Don’t be a clogged vessel. Go for it!
But first, we must tackle the trials of the first seven days of August. With the Sun and Mercury opposed Saturn and square Uranus we may feel restless, restricted, at a standstill. Truth is, even this negative assessment of our situation is divinely orchestrated. Before the logjam of indecision can burst free, it must first tighten and build up pressure.
Think of it as a week of creative contraction, followed by a breakthrough, symbolized by Uranus squaring the Sun on August 7th. Ah, now we’re ready for the portal.

Claiming our Crown
Six planets are in fixed signs during this New Moon, showing us where we’re rigid and grasping for permanence. Thank God for the stress that forces us to jump into a different timeline! Cleanse negativity and increase manifestation by forming a creative link with the Way-Shower. This is us claiming our crown and moving forward.
The Change-Agent is busy this month. Mercury races through three signs (Leo, Virgo and Libra) and the Full Moon slips into the rebellious sign of Aquarius for the second time in a row. (July 23rd and Aug 8th: a rarity). Surely, you can feel it. The call to join hands in Aquarian community grows louder with every passing day. Jump in! It will take many hands to pry off the claws of the technocracy.

The fight for natural Immunity
This Full Moon intensifies feelings of repression and rebellion. The Sun (authority) is opposed by Moon/Jupiter (the need to feel free). Followed quickly by a Neptune/Mercury opposition on the 24th (faith in natural immunity vs. statistic-driven jabs) the end of August could further divide countries into two-tier societies via a rash of draconian laws and murder-by-lockdown mandates. But there is a bright side.
In the midst of the tumult, with Mars and Mercury conjunct in the health-conscious sign of Virgo opposing Big Pharma Neptune and trining innovative Uranus, the demand to publicly acknowledge and distribute natural immunity-boosters and other time-tested Covid cures will, God willing, grow louder.
On August 30th, as the dust settles, Mercury moves into Libra– a time of equanimity and compromise. This increases the possibility of finding common ground between people with wildly divergent world views. As orphaned egos on a countdown, we’re all crazy and panicked by the splintering stage set that is Samsara. We share a common wound: impermanence. It is this secret bleeding– humbly confessed and reckoned with in the mirror of each other– that has the power to unite and heal people of all political and religious persuasions. We limp together on the same path, deriving meaning– and, yes, salvation– by inspiring each other to face infinity without flinching.
