Astrodharma Transit Report: June 2021

THE RUMI-MAKER

There comes a time when “I’ll be happy when…” slams into a ditch. Suddenly, the lie of living as a time-tethered “blip with a lip” becomes impossible to believe and the “state-chasing” frenzy of ego loses all credibility. Then we see it:

No peace lies in the future which is not hidden in this present moment.
~Fra Giovanni

This is the revelatory power of June, as Neptune (squaring Mercury retrograde from May 29th to June 22nd) frustrates our answer-hungry mind, prodding us to develop “faith in a time of not-knowing.”

Are Mercury/Neptune squares inherently confusing and difficult? Depends on how gracefully the dream of personhood yields as the Samsaric stage set splinters, creaks and crumbles. The skies, you see, are tightening into the second of three exact Saturn/Uranus squares on June 14th. Let’s call it, “The Rumi Maker.”

As the tension between individual freedom (Uranus) and social limitation (Saturn) ramps up, there comes a time for push-back from the populace. Saturn/Uranus squares are famous for pulling people out of their homes and into the streets. And just what might folks be pushing against? Mmm… let’s see. Neptune rules Big Pharma. Mercury rules the media. Square each other, media manipulation (on behalf of the nanotech overlords) is, even now, leaking out into the public.

A Day in the Park

Ego imagines itself perversely special for living through these times of insecurity, loss and upheaval. In truth, not much has changed.

Mind-on-a-countdown continues to manically distract from feelings of existential angst while deathless Being continues to sway to the beat of disaster. From the soul’s point of view, it’s just another day in the Samsaric park.

The question is…

Will we get lost in the Neptunian fog and drift between blissful denial and immobilizing fear or will we seek out soul-mirrors shiny enough to listen us back into Presence- so we can offer the same soul-seeing support to others?

Will we push against Mercury retrograde to manifest some “separate somebody” agenda or will we surrender to the larger Being attempting to move and act through us?

Will we be Dervish enough to be spinned, or will we stiffen into a klutzy “I’ll be happy when…”?

Note for fridge

You’ve been channel surfing between trite and tragic your whole life. Less desperate times would solve nothing.

June 10th, New Moon Solar Eclipse in Gemini
The Drama Triangle

This New Moon Solar Eclipse in Gemini is square Neptune and trine Saturn. Concurrent with the Mercury retrograde, it favors the learning of a new, more intuitive approach to communication. One such system is “The Drama Triangle.”

The three points on the Drama Triangle are interlocking defensive postures that ego assumes in order to defend and manage its anxiety about living in a unguided, mechanistic universe.

By learning to identify the Triangle’s presence-killing role play in our attitude and speech we can then guide others into the higher octave expression of these three archetypal points. From there, with a bit of grace, we can return, together, to our true position as awareness, itself.

Orphaned Ego Strategies

1) The Perpetrator

Perpetrators are hurt victims attempting to reclaim their power. Determined never again to be caught off guard and hurt, they proactively defend themselves by controlling, limiting and oppressing others.

2) The Victim

Victims distrust their ability to wield power without hurting and taking advantage of others. To steer clear of this perpetrative outcome they assume a position of “impotent empowerment:” I am innocent, pure and unjustly wronged.”

3) The Rescuer

Rescuers, “help” victims, but with an unconscious agenda: keeping them dependent. In this way, ego keeps its heroic self-image steadily employed and intact.

What the Merciful Witness Sees

1) The Perpetrator: an unconscious Challenger

The Merciful Witness sees the Persecutor as an unskilled Challenger who’s karma is to question the status quo, confront limited thinking and focus on improvement by holding people accountable for taking action.

2) The Victim: An unconscious Creator

The Merciful Witness sees the Victim as a repressed Creator whose dharma is to focus on healing, vision and initiatory actions that achieve desired outcomes.

3) The Rescuer: An unconscious Coach

The Merciful Witness sees the Rescuer as an unconscious Coach, whose style of awakening is to empower others via education and guided self-inquiry until they gain sovereignty, self-knowledge, and direction.

June 24th Full Moon in Capricorn
Vows and Agreements

This Full Moon creates an opportunity to balance our commitments between family and career, personal roots and public direction. Take advantage of the sublime Venus/Neptune trine by renewing vows in personal relationship and nailing down business agreements with your colleagues before these bonds are tested in early July when Venus/Mars is squared by Uranus and opposed by Saturn. A boat needs a rudder to stay afloat in a storm.
