Timeless Glory or Human Story?
WITH NEARLY HALF the zodiac in the sign of Taurus, the first days of May are a sublime time to reconnect with nature and meditatively gather together outside to celebrate our common destiny as dream animals.
This shared human contact with earth and sky is particularly important now. Why? Because the media has, for over a year, been feeding our shuttered, screened-dazzled psyches with messages that frighten, control and colonize. Divorced from the miraculous, soul-stirring wonder of nature– the mythological face of creation– we become fixated on our own neurosis and anxiety.
The remedy? Simple:
Lay down some twigs on those smoldering embers, of prayers you forgot but your childhood remembers. C’mon, just let a smart wander into the sky. Doesn’t even matter if you lie. Mama’s gunna make you feel like crying out for something real. Mama’s got some time to kill that Robosapien mind.

Venus Trine Pluto May 1-9:
Pleasure is how we got here!
Venus is trine Pluto from May 1st to the 9th. (Exact on May 6th). The need now is for deep, heartfelt honesty and embodied, intimate connection with others. Remember: were it not for our parent’s pleasure-seeking, we would not exist! How do we honor them? By carrying the “creating from love” theme forward.
Square Jupiter in Aquarius, Venus in Taurus is inviting us to venture out from our usual patterns of relating; to break free of the muting influence of media and mask and interpersonally open. Time to ask, How can I become more amorously adventurous without becoming reckless?

Business Meeting Territory
By the New Moon in Taurus on May 11th, Venus and Mercury will both be in the lighthearted, sociable sign of Gemini. This combination of pragmatic earth and interactive air is “business meeting territory.” Gather the players, define the vision and organize the steps. Then step back, do the website, branding and viability research during Mercury retrograde. Launch date: end of June.
Best to finish up critical communication, travel and tech purchases before May 14th when the pre-Mercury retrograde shadow period begins.

Optimal Atmospheres
Consider the first two weeks of May (1st- 14th) your glitch-free communication zone. Then, on the 14th, when the pre-Mercury retro shadow period sets in, ease away from big decisions and nailed-down opinions (gasoline on the ego’s fire, during Mercury retro) and begin to wield the tongue more like a watercolor brush, dabbing for optimal atmospheres.

Spiritual Study
The general rule of thumb for Mercury retrograde is, “Don’t buy, don’t sell, don’t sign.” Unless, of course, what you’re purchasing is a new world view. With Jupiter entering Pisces, this is prime time for spiritual study.
Jupiter in Pisces: May 13th- July 27th
The Magical Quality of Belief
Jupiter enters compassionate, otherworldly Pisces on May 13th for 2 1/2 months. (Mid may to mid July). Concurrent with Mercury retrograde, this Jupiter activates an introspective understanding of events as synchronistic and shepherding. Not a time for big life-changes, but of relaxed faith in the benevolent outcome of these lifetimes gradually unraveling all around us. The more Saturn/Uranus splinters the stage set, the more opportunities for soul- spiraling homeward.
The world, after all, is the dream of our soul. Like an art teacher, the soul carefully studies how we paint the canvas of our reality, nudging us to apply paint a little more freely here, make an embarrassingly magnificent color choice, there.
Jupiter shouts, The world is not what you see on your devices! Tone down the world-fretting critique and invest in whatever conceptual lens spreads compassion most broadly and soul-seeing support most generously.
May 26th Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius
Timeless Glory or Human Story?
This Eclipse takes place on the articulate, truth-transmitting Gemini/Sag polarity, one day before Mercury goes retrograde. In addition, both take place in the shadow of the second, world-rocking Saturn/Uranus square. A volatile period– cushioned by poetic, faith-steady Jupiter in Pisces, whispering:
Remember, remember… dreams don’t need saving and the experience that you hope to derive from a more desire-satisfying world (fullness of Being) is already here. Wisely, you asked the world’s “evidence of separation” to “not work” so you would be driven back to your true position as awareness, itself, having a personality. Deep within you, beneath this hailstorm of ideas about ideas about ideas, meditation has never stopped happening! Why get so mixed up in the waves on the surface of God’s dream? Surely, it’s time to have more compassion for the plight of your own and other’s orphaned egos by dropping below all this identity-grasping “for or against-ness” to the timeless glory of who we are.
