Three quarters of earth is covered in dreamy, otherworldly depths: a blatant invitation to flood our carnal density, in kind.
Alas, we do more than forget; we repudiate, abort and strut proudly our violent negation. The good news: the dewy, clear-seeing eyes of our inner Kindergartener are alive and well and November is fantastically flood-friendly.
Even now, a wave is breaking on the shoreline of our separate somebodyness, eroding, shaping, grinding me-stories into a luminous, otherworldly sand. Surely, it’s madness not to notice!
November: a sublime time to make friends with the crashing surf and feel into this benevolent, lifetimes-long granulation at play.
Mercury is retrograde all month from Nov 9th to the 29th, signaling a deep and wizened kind of self-inquiry due to a co-arising barrage of…
Grand Water Trines
November delivers a barrage of compassion-catalyzing Grand Water Trines that arise in the “confess and undress” atmosphere of Scorpio.
The early Trine (Nov 1-7) is intersected by a Pluto/Jupiter opposition, counseling us to be restrained and self-processing.
The soul-seer reigns-in the false power of knowership in favor of targeted, well-timed questions.
Later (Nov 19-30) the water Trines are intersected by a Uranus/Mercury opposition, prodding us to be more nakedly soulful:
Spiritual teachers embody the courage of spontaneous, vulnerable wonder: the wisdom of a child at play.
This “play” is born of heartbreak. In essence, both Trines ask the same question:
What collective suffering are you most vexed by and, therefore, called to confront and master in yourself?
Do you have a history of constructive humiliation, meditatively chiseling away, year after year, at your inner archetype slave? If your answer is, “yes,” November may be the time to take your shiny soul-mirror out into the world. If someone wants to call that, “spiritual teacher–” so be it.
One Suffering
In the end, there is only one suffering: moments numb to– and therefore incongruent with– the wise-loving dictates of our soul.
These Trines give us a running start into exemplary levels of heartbreak: the relentless merciful witnessing of ego’s insecure identity-grabbing. Over time, this on-the-spot Self-reckoning turns into a lifestyle of lucidity that spreads like a virus to others.
Said in Aquarian language: We wake up together– or not at all.
Scorpio might phrase it differently:
The beast of existential dread is tamed by stroking the head of the imaginary others.
Awakened Scorpio is profoundly unimpressed by the world’s darkness. With the help of the grand water trines, the “spotter of incongruity” can, once and for all, transform into the “the miner of divine intent.”
Note for fridge:
An immortal sleeper cell is embedded in my psyche. Dark agendas? Kid stuff.
Tribal Witness Support
In modern society, most people bang between soul-numbing compartmentalization and intense, one-on-one encounters with a therapist or spiritual friend. What’s missing is a bridge: a regular interactive “practice field” in which budding soul-seers can stabilize into a relaxed, embodied state of InterBeing.
November: the perfect month to get started.
Buddhists call this practice field, “Sangha.” Native Americans call it the Talking Stick Circle. Woven together, I call it, Tribal Witness Support.
Talking Stick Circles: A meditative culture of speaking
It hurts others when we are not a articulate surprise to ourselves in front of them. Why? Because we are halting the export of mystic know-how.
When we refuse to return to zero for a moment before speaking, the eternal awareness that we are is no longer having personality. We are psychically amputating our deathless Being and inadvertently spreading the virus of mind-on-a-countdown.
Talking stick circles look ordinary from the outside but are nothing less than collaborative de-orphaning. With everyone demonstrably committed to holding space for whatever words of silence move through us while we hold the stick– the soul finds its honest interactive pace, its language, its frontier conversation. We embody who we actually are: a mystery dawning to ourselves.
The Talking Stick gives listeners a chance to practice empathic attunement and speakers a nervous system relaxed enough to endure the chaos that births illumination.
Uranus opposition Mercury
This month’s greatest challenge come from Mercury’s oppositions to the planet, Uranus.
Ordinarily a few day transit, this prolonged Mercury/Uranus opposition lasts 2 1/2 months (Oct 29th- Dec 10th)
Exact opposition dates: Oct 29th, Nov 19th and Dec 10th.
Highly stimulating and littered with sudden changes and flashes of insight, this period requires special monitoring and care of our nervous system. A bored, unfocused mind is vulnerable to impatience and changes that move faster than that it can digest.
Better to discipline the mind in the form of writing, speaking or learning a new skill- especially group facilitation and/or a empathic career immune to Uranian A.I. job displacement.
Potential Pivot
During the Nov 19th opposition, Mercury retrograde conjuncts Mars one day before the New Moon in Scorpio and the Mercury “Cazimi:” the moment when Mercury touches the heart of the Sun where new missions are seeded and understood.
This particular Cazimi marks the potential start of a new chapter of life. Why? Because this Mercury/Sun conjunction also conjuncts the Moon and Venus, even as it sings together with a revelatory grand water trine involving Jupiter and Saturn/Neptune. Perfect time to pivot into a more soulful life direction– perhaps even host your own soul-mirroring circle.
With Uranus, “the Awakener,” sextile Saturn/Neptune and Trining resourceful Pluto all month, it matters little what “technology of soul-mirroring” you choose. The people are hungry and the timing is right.
Bless you for stoking the coals of empathy and slowing the free fall into Transhumanism!
A.I. is God with a little “g.” It’s the closest thing to “Shepherding Presence” that orphaned ego could imagine.
