The good news: August is fully capable of deleting this presence-clogging data.
With the Sun shining sovereign in its home sign of Leo, we have the power to stand steady in the face of the “order out of chaos” playbook, culminating on the Full Moon in Aquarius on the 19th.
Venus and Mercury in Virgo easily discern the difference between random catastrophe and vote-swinging psy-op, while the Mars/Jupiter conjunction (square edge-loving Saturn) is poised to purge us of “information overwhelm” so we can return to the luminous calm of the Merciful Witness.

Bold Moves and Fortuitous Delays
August kicks off with a radiant, can-do Sun/Moon conjunction in the sign of Leo on August 4th. Love beckons and the joy is is palpable.
On the same day, Venus enters the box-ticky world of Virgo, followed by an introspective Mercury diving into a 23 day retrograde (also in the sign of Virgo) on the 5th.
Translation: Leonine creativity shines bright in behind-the-scenes projects, curriculum-building and the composing of inspired, visionary documents. Release date: mid September.
Leo rules leadership. Virgo is unassuming. Mercury rules communication. Let us pray that this retrograde gives rise to many articulate, ego-humbled teachers.
Co-arising with this retrograde is a square from Saturn to the Mars/Jupiter conjunction. Seems we are being asked to slow down and restructure our life and plans in accordance with the laws and limits of society.
No problem. A lot of behind-the-scenes professional advancement can be achieved during this “humble waiting” period.
August 19th Full Moon in Aquarius
On the inside, this Full Moon is positively electric. Square Uranus, it has the power to generate epiphanies and revelations in sudden, surprising ways.
On the outside: look for social unrest.
This Full Moon in Aquarius (co-arising with Mercury retro) also provides us with an impartial, updated assessment of who our “allies in awakening” are. Time to gratefully “give back” to the beings (near and far) that have inspired and supported us over time.
Take special note of the ways that the Mercury-ruled media spin events during this disruptive/enlightening Full Moon period. Mercury retro (in Leo since the 15th) is famous for dramatic glitches and snitches.
Upset at a politician for spewing blatant propaganda? Not so fast!
We are all Spin-Doctors
In an age of head masks, body doubles and flawless AI-generated impersonation, the world is slowly waking up to what astrologers have known for centuries: personality is archetypal stagecraft.
Fumbling or suave, every nuance of a politician’s speech is an act of world-building, managed by think tank teams trained to play on the common man’s unconscious archetypal bias and fear.
That’s right. The powers that be stay in power through our archetypal ignorance.
It is for this reason that the shrewd, “subtle energy language” of astrology must now go viral.
More felt archetype, less think tank aversion!
But wait. It goes deeper.
Truth be known, every ego (in its un-witnessed state) is a politician honing his propaganda skills.
Our well-meaning comment: packed with existential premises snuck in as a facts that, once accepted, support an unnamed, and often unconscious, egoic agenda.
In short, we’re just like them!
Better to Focus On Own Dreamscape
At the end of the month, on August 27th and 28th, Venus, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto form a spiritually auspicious “kite” aspect. Venus opposes Neptune, and Uranus and Pluto each Trine Venus and Sextile Neptune. Time to pause and give thanks. We have struck astrological gold.
It’ safe to be defenseless against this moment. It has nothing but benevolence to rain down on me.
Now that Mercury’s vision quest is drawing to a close, it’s time to sift through the dream-seeds that the Winged Messenger has sprinkled into our psyche. By sharing these fuzzy callings with others, we moisten and activate them. This, in turn, gives comfort to “the drifting orphan in us all:” they were planted in me for a reason.
