TO APPRECIATE the full majesty of May we best understand it as one step in the Aries-Taurus-Gemini narrative. April, May and June, you see, are a choir. They sing together as one soul-guiding season.
Aries generates healthy ego through the trial-and-error assertion of identity and will. Taurus slaps form onto Aries intention, stabilizes it, then follows it through to completion. Gemini puts the final touches on the season by optimizing whatever Taurus manifests via networking, marketing and updates.
This initiate-ground-update narrative repeats in unique and enlightening ways during each of the four seasons. (One of the many user-friendly insights you will learn in The May 6th Styles of Awakening Training.)
Now that we know where we are on the temporal map, let’s dive into May.
This year, Mercury retrograde– combined with the gnarly March/April Eclipses– drove much of our Aries ego-assertion underground. Individuation was achieved- not so much via outward action- as a deep dive into our true values. Dead trajectories and ill-fitting roles “went dark.”
Some were traumatically self-involved. Others moved forward in slower, more contemplative ways. All were blessed with the great reset:
“Presence” is the acceptance of failure. Yesterday’s worldview is broken and useless!
Emerging From the Cave
Now we have entered May, the manifestation month: a buoyant, Jupiter-blessed time when fresh soul-callings spring up like flowers at our feet, begging to be bunched into a surprise bouquet for the lover we call, “the world.”
Time to launch out into the world to bravely manifest our upgraded aspirations.
Great month for buying/selling, devising a new business plan, learning a new career skill or organizing a June travel itinerary.
Think Taurus is pathetically materialistic? Careful. That could slow your emergence from the cave.
Note for fridge:
The soul-seeing bovine lives in a fully functional, “good enough” world. Love is a deliciously manageable, ego-taming crucible and “compatibility” is, for the most part, a symptom of using this God-given container to walk the proof-of-care path.
Does this sound offensively simplistic? No matter. Pastor Taurus smiles as he welcomes you to “The Church of Full Arrival.”
Pedal to the Metal Month
There’s no doubt about it. May is “Pedal to the Metal” month. Why? Five reasons:
1) Venus and Mars are humming in their home signs: Taurus and Aries. An unusual balance of sovereignty and cooperation that signals harmony and ease in relationship.
2) A well-aspected stellium of planets in pragmatic Taurus. What house does Taurus rule in your chart? Grounded accomplishment is poised to happen there.
3) On May 7th the New Moon in Taurus (conjunct Venus, Uranus and Jupiter while forming an “opportunity sextile” to Saturn) prods us to to “come out” as a grounded visionary.
4) On May 23rd a buoyant Full Moon in Sagittarius forms Trines to Pluto and Neptune promising penetrating articulation and an opportunity for spiritual transformation.
5) On May 26th Jupiter moves into the sign of Gemini for one year, brightening our social contacts and deepening truth-sharing.
Surely we have paid our dues! Now it is time to choose:
Allow speech and action to erupt from the Merciful Witness or live time-tethered and confused about which impulses are soul-callings and which are egoic identity-grabs.
