Walking Each Other Home
February blesses us with forward movement. Uranus went direct on Jan 30th followed by Jupiter on Feb 4th, then Mars on Feb 23rd. Time to take a break from the feverish politics, stare into hurtable human eyes and walk each other home.
Every step, an answer to a question:
1) How courageously will you redesign your relationships, in alignment with the approaching Venus retrograde in Aries (March 1st- April 12th).
2) How well will you balance the Virgo/Pisces polarity, as indicated by the new 18 month transit of the Lunar nodes (Jan 11th, 2025- July 26, 2026).
Let’s start with Venus Retrograde.
Venus Retrograde in Aries
The preservation of self in relationship
Venus moves from Pisces into Aries on Feb 4th. This is a palpable shift. Love is direct, even confrontational. Conjunct Neptune, romantic illusions entice, then beg to be busted.
Does something in your relationship feel itchy, not quite right? Venus retrograde in Aries, like a good fireman, knows that the whole relationship will burn down unless we poke at the smoldering issues until they flame into harmless ash.
The more courageously we redesign our love to both honor and mediate our differences, the more smoothly we will sail through the coming month of March when Venus retro is in full swing.

The Nodal shift into Virgo/Pisces
Jan 11th, 2025- July 26, 2026
Every 18 months the Lunar nodes change, providing a particular set of poles for us to bang between until we learn to straddle. Next up: the Virgo/Pisces polarity.
Straying too far into Virgo
The Plan-a-holic
Straying too far into Virgo, mind attaches to preconceived plans and protocols at the expense of flowing with the Tao. As our tidy Virgo facts and formulas are undermined by unforeseen Pisces variables, mind becomes nervous, tight, perfectionistic.
Seeking relief from the Plan-a-holic, ego overcompensates by swinging too hard into escapism, magical thinking and indiscriminate allowing– hygienically flushing all logic and pragmatism down the drain. Ick.
Straying too far into Pisces
Ghost Protocol
Swinging blindly into Pisces, we make a “self” out of over-giving, idiot compassion and a difference-denying idea of oneness that quickly devolves into martyrdom, collusion and “saving.”
Then, as unhealthy sacrifice becomes more and more physically and psychologically depleting, ego blindly reasserts its edges through harsh criticalness and workaholism. Ouch.
Virgo/Pisces Integration
Soulful Realism
Integration is achieved by becoming soulfully realistic. This involves lucidly assessing, and choosing to work with, the light and dark of a particular ego as part of our chosen karma or declining with tenderness and respect.
If the walls of the Virgo colon can accept and reject without judgement, so can we!
Here’s two self-inquiry exercises to jump-start your Virgo/Pisces integration.
What Happens?
Which is more mind-altering and addictive: Pisces porn or Virgo fault-finding? Is the first seeking relief from the second? If the virtual nubile is desired to the extent that he/she serves as a fleeting, unobtainable taste of the Ageless and Unimprovable, what happens to our passion for union with the Divine?
How Much Respect?
Feel into the mood of 4:00-6:00 a.m. Now try: 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. There. Now you have a feeling for the energetic difference between Pisces and Virgo. What would the best of both worlds look like? How much respect would you have for a being who maintained the mood of “ashram hours” whilst moving smoothly efficiently through the marketplace?
Feb 12th Full Moon in Leo
Tightly square Uranus, this full Moon is positively electric. Pent up feelings may suddenly “out” themselves before we can civilize them. Great if your dancing spontaneously at a party. Not so great if patience is required and you need to tread lightly.
Feb 27th New Moon in Pisces
Mars, planet of initiation and risk-taking went direct in the sign of Cancer on the 23rd and five planets are now in the sign of Pisces. Attention, writers, artists and channelers of the muse! Now is the time to get your creative project up and running so you can fine tune it during the upcoming Mercury retrograde in Aries (March 14th- April 6th).
