THERE IS a middle path between strict Virgo routine and meandering Pisces intuition; maintaining order in our everyday lives and releasing ourselves into the mystery and vastness. This is not, however, the main message of September.
September’s slam is more sublime and interpersonal.
Questions emerge: Is this relationship energetically reciprocal? What am I doing that might contribute to the imbalance I feel and am I invested enough to renegotiate?
In less desperate times, these would be worthy questions. Not now.
Mercury retrograde in Libra will oppose Jupiter in Aries three times: Sep 3, 19 and Oct 12th; each pass injecting us with the guts we need to more clearly define the “inner game” we want to play with our partner and friends. Ah, now we’re getting somewhere.
Jupiter wants to love wisely, but Storyless Presence is the only one who knows how to do it. That means all unions are screwed without meditative relating.
Stricken by the Immaculate, the details take care of themselves.
Why are we underwhelmed with our partner? In most cases: because ego isn’t satisfied with anyone or anything for more than a minute.
This Mercury retro starts out in Libra, plunges into Virgo for ten days then re-emerges in Libra on October 2nd. Seems our Libran ideas of conjugal love want to get Virgo purified. Will we psychoanalyze each other, or “presence-bond,” starting now?
Remember: Libran marriage was never for the bride and groom. It’s a social institution, a giveaway.
In a world riddled with broken bonds, partners exuding the grace of spiritual marriage become temples wafting vital mantras out into the world: “Commit moments to eternity! Fall into communion! Believe in love!”
Excellent time to see a spiritual counselor or get trained to become one.
Sept 10th Full Moon in Pisces: “Dare to Imagine”
Square Mars, this Sun/Moon opposition is impatient for selfless service: a path we’re so passionate about, we’d do it for free.
The Moon is conjunct it’s ruler, Neptune, and the Sun in Virgo is trine Uranus in Taurus. Time to plug into new social networks and dare to imagine a more soulful role in the community.
No work is always fulfilling, but if the mechanical stuff isn’t regularly redeemed by the Muse, it’s time for a vocational vision quest. Most suffering: a crisis of imagination.
Which is more important: standard of living or standard of Presence?
Opposed otherworldly Neptune for two weeks, Mercury retro answers this question from an incarnational perspective:
Lost and broken, we arrive at the Rehab center called, Earth. The daily curriculum (as grueling as it is life-saving) is simple: realization or relapse.
