WALKING OUT OF MOVIES
Birth is an expensive ticket to a movie we’re designed to walk out of.
This, of course, will never happen until something jolts us back into our senses. Suddenly, we notice where we are: a dark theater flashing meaningless suspense.
Now for the hard part: whispering to the beloved seated next to us, “I’ll meet you in the lobby when it’s over.”
Congratulations. The explosions in the other room are now muffled enough for you to savor the waves of ego lapping against the rocks of spiritual sovereignty and self-respect. They call this, “meditation.”
Then the self-doubt:
Maybe if I sat through the movie of that relationship, job or dead conversation, the tide would have turned and I would have felt that all-consuming “yes” I was looking for.
But wait. What if orphaned ego knows nothing but meaningless suspense? That makes “living in a guided universe ” the only satisfying entertainment, no?
This is Venus Retrograde in Capricorn walking out of passively absorbed movies into sober, chosen ones.
Not a month to swoon or split up, but simply to ask, “What, exactly, did I hope the movie of relationship would deliver?”
Overlapping Retrogrades
January is blanketed in two overlapping retrogrades:
Venus Retrograde; Dec 19- Jan 29
Mercury Retrograde:Jan 14- Feb 4
The energy culminates on Jan 17th during the Full Moon in Cancer.
Pluto is conjunct the Sun and opposed the Moon. At the same time, Mercury retrograde activates the continuing Saturn/Uranus square. You guessed it. Time for another mathematically murky mandate from the QR code cult, along with the requisite push back.
Planning on making a significant life change in January? Best to make your move before this Matrix rerun hits the streets.
Venus Retrograde in Capricorn: Dec 19th- Jan 29th
Venus retrograde in Capricorn reality tests our love. It also reveals how we undermine tender union and keep realistic love at a distance. This year’s testing period is particularly long and intense due to Venus conjuncting “confess and undress” Pluto three times: Dec 11th, 25th and March 3rd.
Pluto purges darkness and impurity. Think of it as the astrological equivalent of Ayahuasca. Conjunct Venus, it’s primary task is to make us “constructively sick” of our dead habits of relating so we can vomit them completely out of our system.
Ready for a “hero’s journey?” Ideal time to see a counselor.
If you’re partner is a true “ally in awakening,” Venus/Pluto will help you roll up your sleeves and negotiate a rebirth. If not, Pluto will suck the remaining life out out your bond, like venom from a snake bite.
