WHY GET a reading during Covid? Simple. So you can project a steady field of faith. Let me explain.

In the basement of every psyche there is a bare bulb hanging over a dusty workbench. My job is to flick on the light switch, descend down the rickety staircase, wipe off the table and spend three solid hours with you (90 minutes of preliminary study/meditation + 90 minutes on the phone) feeling into the urgent, here/now calling of your eternally evolving soul.

At the human level, the atmosphere is friendly, yet pressing. Casual conversation segues into intensive self-reckoning. At the soul level, the mood is playful, invigorating, arousing the wisdom of a child at play.

This is the paradoxical art of astrology– an intensive, single session therapy not entered into lightly and not just for one’s own benefit. As the structures of the outer world crumble and “go dark” the lantern of our Soul must now ignite, projecting a steady field of faith, cast wide enough for others to walk alongside us.

This is the purpose of the current world-rocking Saturn/Uranus Square. This is Father Saturn walking sober and alone through the rubble holding up his flickering beacon, broadcasting a karma-reckoning light around which the Uranian family of man can huddle, organize and rebuild.

Fairy Tale Thanatology

The purpose of life and the purpose of Astrology are the same: to progress steadily through the ego-humbling karmic curriculum of this world so that we might graduate into intoxicating union with the Divine.

We are all on a journey from Aries to Pisces, head to toe, individuation to reabsorption. The message is clear: “return to zero” now, or get dragged there by force of destiny; Lower one’s psyche gracefully, like a casket, into the ground of Being now, or spend years trying to vaccinate one’s self from the scythe of Saturn.

The emerging two-tier society is real, but it has little to do with whether or not one has faith in the largest experiment in human history. The true divide is– as it has always been- between orphaned ego (seer of meaningless suffering) and the soul-seeing faith of the mystic.

Will we be entranced by the fairy tale Thanatology or take refuge in the unborn, undying imperishable?

Now, more than ever, astrology must not only highlight the dark and light of the incarnated ego but inspire a return to our true position as awareness, itself, having a personality. Short of this, Astrology is mere “food for the mind.”
