IT IS THE PRIVILEGED vocation of the Aries archetype (in all of us) to cajole – and, if need be, implicitly push – other souls into showing up as embodied personalities and thereby to have a fighting chance of awakening as pure Piscean awareness enjoying the role play of an Aries ego. This is the astrological definition of non-duality and the very purpose of life.
Whenever you encounter a combative, in-your-face personality, remember, it’s not personal; this is the incarnation-honoring part of God nudging you to show up as “space with a face.” To the transcendence-pining mind, Aries evokes healthy anxiety. The pushy, “deal with me as I am” attitude is a healthy irritant that forces the issue: Will you grow ever more adverse to the hard-edged play of egos or will you stop falling for the “trait bait” and start rubbing shoulders with the divine presence?
Naturally, our inner Aries takes it too far sometimes. Instead of wielding our persona as a tongue-in-cheek intervention device on loan from the Supreme Being, we claim ownership of this gutsy incarnational fire and start cramming our self-centered somebodyness in other people’s faces. This is the dying mind trying desperately to harden its haunting ephemeralness.
Are you surrounded by souls whose entity-medicine has twisted into entity-trance? But of course. Some degree of self-forgetting is the price of admission to this realm. How else, but through trial and error, could the great Biotech Genius in the sky pull off her space-with-a-face hybrid?
From this perspective, Aries is our greatest ally, constantly challenging us to soften into our soul-seeing presence even as we dive into the world’s sweaty mosh pit of me-stories. When automated Aries barges into our space, it’s our job to remember for them the innocent, incarnational guts that drives them and get real: anything less than full-court Bodhisatva bores us to tears.
