and they all proceed from conflict to climax to fleeting resolution. Why do we get so drawn in by these edgy oppositions? Because they deliver greasy, fast food identity. Because meaningless suspense is the tried-and-true formula that mind uses to lure us out of timeless presence into a world where me-story fiction is hip and vital to survive.
