Aries: I am phenomenon in the eyes of a deeper seer. I have won myself back. Taurus: All passing pleasures: finger food for the fullness of Being. Gemini: All clever word-craft: catalysts for silent communion. Cancer: Old hurts and defenses: hardened homesickness for You. Leo: In the fire of pure seeing, self-worth scatters like ash more> MARCH IS A FEISTY if not downright militant month. It begins with a Full Moon in Virgo on the 5th accompanied by a triple conjunction (Venus, Mars and Uranus) in Aries squaring Pluto. This Nazi/Hippie square goes exact on March 16th. Think: corpgov vs. people boom! How comfortable can you be “alone together?” It’s as if this Mercury retrograde (in Aquarius until Feb 11) is grooming us for the kind of unwavering self-possession we might need to work calmly, side-by-side during the geopolitically tense and militant March equinox period. Then comes the Jupiter-focused more> IN PURELY ARCHETYPAL terms, there is nothing more commonplace than rape and suicide. Why are these two words so highly charged and disturbing? Because of how routinely we engage in subtle forms of both, every single day of our lives. Indeed, it is the bitter taste of these masculine and feminine faces of violence in more> EVERY EGO HAS A DIFFERENT style of resisting and succumbing to shepherding presence. One might even say that personality is, itself, little more than a real-time outpicturing of this tug-of-war between identity-grasping role play and relaxing into timeless presence enough to see who wants to show up. Why do we spend so much time refusing more> SEPTEMBER BEGINS nose-to-the-grindstone and becomes progressively more light-hearted and inspired. The lunar energy builds until the Sept 8th full Moon in Pisces, then, on Sept 13th – after two years in poker-faced Scorpio – the assertive, fiery planet, Mars, moves into shoot-from-the-hip Sagittarius, followed by Pluto going direct (out with the old, in with the more> DID YOU KNOW that an owner’s manual for the human psyche was encoded into the organs and structures of your body, and that the more you learn about the higher and lower octave expressions of each archetype, the more specific this two-legged Bible’s guidance is? What if every totem pole of body parts was chiseled with symbolic scripture whose reassuring profundity continually eclipsed people’s individual attitudes and behavior, highlighting instead the heroic journey of self-realization that every soul more> TIME HAS PERSONALITY — a rainbow of archetypal styles of expression not unlike the feline glide of Obama or the Sagittarian savvy of Brad Pitt. Just as different personalities serve to christen us into different flavors of the divine mind, the revolving carousel of hours, days, months and years is constantly coaxing us to update more> ACCORDING TO ASTROLOGY, the divine is “waking down” to itself through our bodies. Pure awareness is forever nudging our egos into a swan dive off the ledge of our sovereign Aries head into our timeless trance of toes. Why? So personal will (Aries) can be humbled and cleansed by skin-to-skin contact with the Piscean ground more> I ONCE ASKED a Tibetan Buddhist teacher what she thought was the core cause of human suffering. “Believing this place is solid,” she quipped. Of course, I thought to myself, ego has to make it solid ‘out there’ so it feels solid ‘in here.’ So long as trees and tits and power plants and politicians more> PLEASE ASSIGN an astrological sign to each of the 12 walking styles below. Remember, we’re all archetypal mutts down here, so though we have our signature styles of parting space, it’s just a matter of time (or lifetimes) before we try on all 12. Key Phrase: “I Discriminate and Purify” Dates: Aug 23- Sep 22nd (varies year to year) Polarity: Feminine/Yin Element: Mutable earth Ruling Planet: Mercury Body Rulership: Abdominal region, intestines (colon “analyzes” how and what nutrients to absorb from food), spleen, liver, pancreas, sympathetic nervous system. Aura: dutiful, more> IMAGINE IF THE SUN second-guessed itself. Life would perish. The same is true for us. We are here to shine free of our ego’s ever-changing self-portrait, to be as generous with our presence as the Sun. This is the heart of meditation and the Leonine prescription for all forms of diminished life-force. Who are we? more> SO IN LOVE with dream interpretation is the Beloved, that S/he created “dream animals” with the power to dream their dreams rock-solid and entirely unworthy of interpretation. Bravo scientific materialists! Your denial of dreaming may be the most outrageously imaginative dream interpretation of all. Sadly, it also destroys psychic wholeness because it allows our muscle more> AH, THE FOURTH OF JULY, the picnicy domain of clannish Cancer. What’s that, you say? You’re not into the egoic land mine of family gatherings, the robotic patriotism toward the Corpratocracy? Fine. But be careful: this is the furthest the northern hemisphere ever gets from shivery January. Behind the buzz, the booze, the “bombs bursting more> IS ASTROLOGY A RELIGION? Depends on how you define “religion.” I prefer to bypass this heady line of inquiry and move on to a less academic question: Can modern archetypal astrology help us awaken to what science calls the non-local field of consciousness and Rumi calls The Friend? Yes, providing the language of archetypes becomes more> SEEMS WE HUMANS have a penchant for “wearable technology” and if the body/mind isn’t recognized as such (via meditation) then, by golly, we’ll invent some of our own.
