Astrodharma Transit Report: August 2026

Leo is the season to polish and buff our lackluster joie de vivre into something radiant, generous and stylishly emulative. Why? So we can make Sun tea: a healthy infusion of warmth and aliveness into our otherwise cold cup of grey matter that releases chi-full antioxidants into our everyday work routines when the Sun moves into Virgo.

So easy to forget: we’re sock puppets for the Divine Hand. Why are so many lonely and depressed? Perhaps it’s a symptom of our “puppet pride:” the belief that we’re flapping our own jaws — combined with the guilt we feel for sucking others deeper into the strut-fest with our jawful automation.

Secret Leo Narrative

Awakened Leo knows: there’s no such thing as self-generated happiness; it’s the experience of being “shot through” with the warmth and light (love and wisdom) of the Sublime Sun Being.

Of course, there are endless free will ways to submit to the golden glow. But a basic Siddhartha-like narrative seems to weave through every enlightened incarnation. Stated autobiographically, it goes something like this:

After years of watching mind-on-a-countdown paste smiles on top of its godforsakenness, pretending, unconvincingly, to be upbeat about its stone-hearted survival strategies, it broke me.

Gradually, my “reasons for being” shrunk down to just one: easing others existential angst through meditative relating and developing the soul-mirroring skills needed to reactivate deathless being.

Finally, it dawned: happiness is a conflagration; a completion of the ritual that birth began when it smeared us in the kerosene of not-knowing.

Leo/Virgo Note for fridge:

Love is an immaculate tailor, shaping the perfect teaching to suit the occasion. What exquisite outfit are you being fitted for today?

Virgo follows hot on the heels of Leo for a reason. The puritanical part of our brain keeps charisma and confidence from turning into divine pride. Awakened Leo, on the other hand, turns down the volume of Virgo critique long enough to make room for a “good enough” partner with whom to practice our brokenhearted give-away.

After all, loving others with their faults is the highest of the human arts. Leo knows this better than anyone and it has a playful, disarming approach to Virgo fault-finding:

Judgments happen (like wind and rain) during judgement season. It’s impersonal cosmic phenomenon. Once more, there’s nobody to judge for being judgmental. We’re shaking our fist at the sky!

August 12th Total Solar Eclipse in Leo

Dazzled by the fearsome fireworks generated by the “forever wars?” Stop. There are kinder lights in the heavens.

This passionate eclipse forms an auspicious grand trine involving Venus, Uranus and Pluto and sextiles Mercury and Neptune to form a “Kite” formation known as “the high flyer.”

Time to drop the stage fright, say goodbye to recognition-based “purpose” and hello to authentic, presence-driven leadership.

The great thing about “stage fright” is it keeps us honest. The only way to overcome it is by sharing something we feel so passionate about that we lose self-image altogether. Neither confident or insecure, we’re simply “energy moving.”

Relationship, of course, is the ultimate stage set. Ready to upgrade an otherwise healthy love? This love-pivoting eclipse is the time. Astrology has its own cutting-edge approach to marriage enrichment.

Single? Ready to exit the utopian lust-fest and stand steady in the mirror of a “good enough” partner? Relationship Readings are my specialty.

August 28th Partial Lunar Eclipse in Pisces

Most suffering is a crisis of imagination. With the Sun, Mercury and Moon in a T-square with Uranus, this eclipse is wonderfully suited to a paradigm pivoting retreat or a soul-mirroring encounter that prods us into previously forbidden levels of visualization out loud dreaming.

It takes courage to let a hobbling, outworn way of life finally fall flat and re-imagine our life. Why? Because once we lock onto a life that our soul recognizes as “home,” there’s no turning back. We either numb and dissociate or start creatively disrupting the status quo. The good news: the square to Uranus provides the crazy wisdom required to break free of miserable securities and the trine to assertive Mars provides the courage to set in motion a viable plan of action.

September Stick-to-itive-ness

A disciplined Mars-Saturn square has been building all month, culminating in the final days of August and extending into the first week of September. At the same time, a “grounded visionary” Jupiter-Saturn trine goes exact. This makes September the perfect time to begin turning faraway dreams into here/now realities.

May “holy fullness” Tai Chi the seductions of the strut-fest.
