The Uncompromised Candidate
Eclipsed by the reptilian suspense of winning or losing is the “condition of all conditions:” a tragically unsavored divine play and a failure to look past mind’s “Hitler du jour” to wrestle free of our own festering evil:
Not pausing long enough to savor boundless Being having a personality.
Perhaps the meditative mind is the only “winner” that could earn our longterm approval; the only “candidate” unseduced by scenery’s broken promise.
Perhaps it’s time to confess:
There is no political solution to our cosmic genetics.
Let me explain.
We are all astrologically endowed with a measure of soulful lucidity and egoic reactivity and our wounds, it turns out, are as essential and life-giving as our gifts. Why? Because flaws are our fuel. It is our sense of ‘incompleteness’ that pulls us– knowingly or unwittingly– towards our soul’s potential.
Inside of this soul-spiraling incompleteness is an inevitable amount of “brokenness shame:” a past life residue of guilt that we are charged to humbly manage, forgive and release, lest we offload it onto others: “My star stuff is better than your star stuff.”
The vote that matters most
Seen in this flawsome light, the vote that matters most– the one that echos down the hallways of future lifetimes and designs our next birth chart– is the one we cast every time we tune into to the equally broken egos of Trump and Harris as we confess:
Aversion to brokenness is the ultimate brokenness because it leaves no room for repentance to get a running start.
On to this month’s transits…
Mars Opposition Pluto: The seeds of cult
(Hot zone: Nov 3rd, 2024- Apr 27, 2025)
November is a brutal blend of light and dark: inspiring glimpses of the soul in service to the One Being followed by the goose-stepping march of orphaned ego lost in a trance of obsessive “selfing.”
Look around. Suddenly it’s considered intelligent– even sage-like– to profanely demonize another soul. So many otherwise lucid, educated minds swept up in a primitive us/them cult! This is Mars opposition Pluto in full swing.
How do we respond to these rabid (Mars) projections of (Plutonic) shadow?
Simple: by understanding them.
People were fragmented before the lockdowns. Now, screen-staring atomization is the norm. This isn’t just sad; it’s dangerous.
Without adequate soul-mirroring, identity pixelates. Our sense of self– and, by extension, our sense of belonging– become shaky. People become so desperate for connection and common ground that they settle for “the intimacy of shared aversion.” Joining together in visceral dislike feels better than vapid alienation.
Viola. The masses are ripe for the cult-like oppression of a dehumanized enemy.
How to respond to divisive cult-speak
The trick is to remember what they’re looking for (soulful communion) then offer a lighthearted confession about the ways you struggle with the same issue that this media-packaged talking head so crudely displays.
Question: Okay, but does this mean you’re voting for them?
Answer: I vote for timeless presence with you, right now.
Will anger and distrust in the election results spill out onto the streets? If it does, don’t kid yourself. The powers that be are experts at inflaming astrology transits. What looks like a crowd full of free-thinking protesters is actually a carefully steered collective psyche swept up in a Mars/Pluto trance, riled by a conniving den of saboteurs and PsyOps.
Mark your calendar and be prepared. This tense opposition will “go hot” on and around the following dates.
Mars/Pluto Hot Zones
1) Nov 3, 2024
2) Jan 3, 2025
3) Apr 26, 2025
It will require spiritual discipline to stay anchored in the Merciful Witness during this explosive, contentious period. We will need support from the stars and, thank God, they do oblige! Here are two soul-inspiring transits:
1) Jupiter Opposition Venus
Re-igniting Existential Urgency
This transit co-arises with the Sun and Moon conjunct in the sign of smoldery sign of Scorpio on November 1st.
Jupiter in Gemini speaks truth in the moment. Venus in Sagittarius speaks gracefully communicated panoramic truths. Together, they form a golden opportunity to sprinkle God-talk into everyday conversation.
Without a dharmic rewiring of ego’s conditioned habits of mind and a practice of soul-seeing communion in everyday life, we cannot see past the smelly circumference of ego to the soul’s divine intent. Petty grievances pile up in the subconscious, culminating in war zones without.
That’s right. We call in war to reignite existential urgency.
At any given moment, there is at least one spot on earth where mind-on-a-countdown is spilling someone else’s blood. Tuning in to this alarming fact while we relax in the relative paradise of our homes, the quality of silence becomes “mercifully vexed.”
Suddenly the world is littered with overlooked and underused temple sites and we are stricken with a healthy wave of shame for needing war to notice them.
2) Jupiter sextile Chiron:
Your mess becomes your message
This transit (active all month) stimulates enlightening insight into our core wounds and a merciful understanding of our past.
Time to tell someone our “victory over adversity” story. Why? Because folks are struggling and they need a inspiring role model to make it through.
Nov 15th Full Moon in Taurus
This full Moon is conjunct disruptive, revolutionary Uranus, trine Pluto and sextile Neptune.
On November 3rd, Mars (still opposed Pluto) moved out of the inward, protective sign of Cancer into the dramatic, expressive sign of Leo. Likewise, Mercury has moved out of poker-faced Scorpio into shoot-from-the-hip Sagittarius. Together, this signals a more animated collective response from the electorate.
Mercury Retrograde in Sagittarius: Nov 25-Dec 15th.
Mercury will begin its retrograde motion in a square to nebulous Neptune followed quickly by a square to Saturn in early December. Questions arise: Is this ballot confusion or outright collusion? Either way, expect delays, tech glitches, and a possible recount as well as a stellar chance to display “equanimity of soul” and rock-solid faith in the Shepherding Presence!
The Great Turning
On November 19th, Pluto enters the humanitarian sign of Aquarius where it will be parked until 2043. What kind of society will Pluto gives birth to? Depends on the common man’s depth of response to the following question,
As what are you speaking?
