April 2015 Transit Update: The eclipse zone

eclipse chartWHAT A RAMBUNCTIOUS month! A time to release, recreate and revive. Overview: Initiate the first two weeks; ground during the second two. Will our relationships rebirth and our projects fully flower? Depends on how consciously we navigate “The eclipse zone.”

Eclipses usually take place in pairs. The March 20th Solar eclipse in Pisces was the entrance point. The Lunar eclipse on April 4th in Libra is the exit. The window in between is littered with enliveningly disturbing insights and pattern-changing life pivots. The focus of this eclipse zone: relationships. Since Solar precedes Lunar, it could play out something like this:

Now that the Solar eclipse has shown me what I need to feel more radiantly on purpose, what unconscious lunar habits must I release to move into this life? Or: My personal fire is beckoning me in a different direction than my security-loving Moon is comfortable with. Can I strike a balance, or must I pivot into an entirely new life?

Clearly a time of agile, interpersonal adjustments. Think of your relationships as cozy but dimly lit houses in which psychic dust accumulates, no matter how much you imagine yourself sweeping. This eclipse zone: a case full of high-wattage bulbs.

Will this blood moon eclipse produce blood red eyes? I like how Len Wallick puts it: “Choose what you lose, and the chance of feeling loss as a hardship will be lessened.” Easy-peasy, right? Not so fast. Consciously chosen loss presupposes a significant upgrade of our conveyor-belt-to-death view of events unfolding. Want maximal transformation with minimal drama? The good news: the sometimes brutal Pluto purging indicated by the squares in the eclipse chart below are greatly offset by a buoyant, faith-pumping Jupiter trine, and Saturn grants clear access to inner authority, discernment and direction. Translation: if you release with deepened faith in life, a satisfying interpersonal reconstellation will unfold with relative ease.

The Moon will be totally eclipsed for about 5 minutes. From beginning to end, it will last for three hours and 29 minutes (visible in most of North America, South America, Asia and parts of Australia). It will appear as a moon rise in the east and a moon set in the Americas. Click here to see what it will look like and where/when it will be most visible where you live.
